A passion.

Sofia was born in Uppsala and raised in Jämtland. She has always painted since she was 4 years old. Since 2014 she has been working as a full-time artist in Sofias Galleri. The concept of an open studio and gallery at Storgatan 34 in central Östersund is appreciated. Here she paints daily and shows and sells her original works and art prints. A form that feels fun, different and suits her well.

With her openness and intuitive approach, Sofia creates art that speaks to the soul. The gallery exudes stillness, reflection and a feeling of coming home to oneself. The works express a deep connection to nature, life and the inner landscape.

With the environment in mind, Sofia paints with water-soluble oil paints out of love for nature, without compromise. Washes her brushes in water - no strong scents in the gallery.
